BIONICX STATION

(Like Bionic’s Station)

Life isn’t perfect and neither is art. Interest and expression can be seen through this page. I am ever changing and so are the mediums I choose to represent that.

Glass Paintings

Sangwoo

From Killing Stalking

2020 was a time that brought me to “Book-Tok”. Killing Stalking is a psychological horror that sometimes gets referred to as a love story. As you can tell, that’s an immense difference, so everything was very unexpected. Besides the appealing art and color, this introduced me to artists like Junji Ito and Osamu Dazai, which fed my love for the Psychological genre.

Tanjiro & Nezuko

From Demon Slayer

This is the first commission I ever received. I remember feeling shocked that anyone would want to pay for my art. Funny enough, because of that, I priced it very low. Fortunately, the buyer had not felt the same . Seeing their face light up as they held it was so nice, and I’ve kept that memory forever.

Lemillion

From My Hero Acadamia

Lemillion is a character that I found beyond entertaining and inspiring. Though the main character shows the audience the representation of being a symbol I believe Lemillion really embodies it. He wasn’t meant to have the hard struggles but still pushes through the end. He has the fortune of being a side character that can have cut off points and time skips which allowed him to give it his all and lose everything and still come back.

Graphite

Beginning stages

My first attempt with still life drawings. This was made in a Drawing 101 class so our teacher can see where we are. I was very outside of my league since I mainly focused on paintings around this time.

Learning the basics

Down the line, our teacher was very adamant on learning the fundamentals. How light can be manipulated with distance and shape. We the artist art a story teller conveying how something looks and what it would be made of based on our drawing.

end result

My still life arc came to an end. I enjoyed every bit of it. Learning the fundamentals and seeing everyone progress with me. It taught me how to see and appreciate while I tried to replicate what was right in front of me.

Mini Paintings

Gifts

My mini painting arc started here. Walking around Michaels trying to find blenders I came across a pack of 2×2 canvases with canvas stands. I never did anything so small but it caught my attention and made me start thinking of what I can do. Known as: Plants, Lost in the gumball, Alien Vibing, and A shark eating a cheeseburger. I found enjoyment on how far I can push the details and where I can slack off. It was a fun process that I hope to make more of. Maybe not as gifts but a fun challenge during a creative funk.

The end of Evangelion: ASuka

After my wrist was healed from a fracture I felt an urge to paint this. Rewatching “The End of Evangelion” I couldn’t get Asuka’s triumph and death out of my head. The spike of hope and energy that pushed her to go all out for her remaining 5 minutes gave me goosebumps. Her scream of anguish once she is over powered reaches to my core and her pursuit to keep going when all hope is lost is what made it so tragic. I remember thinking what is so important about those scenes over and over so I can translate that scene in a still painting. It was definitely a challenge but one I couldn’t let go of.

Black Ops 6 Banner

In “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6” you are able to unlock banners that represent your achievements. In this case, these are from “Black Ops 6: Zombies” where each map has its own banner based on the difficulty you finished the story. Given the big achievement I replicated a shot of the animated art and gifted it. It was a nice challenge since it was a mix of hot to put in the name, what shot to choose and which one replicates the animation and how to confine everything on a 4×4.

Not everything I’ve made was perfect but I can brag about some more than others,:d. These are a few other of my projects as i’ve made throughout the years. Some were assignments but drawing and painting were always a hobby of mine. They bring calmness even though sometimes I don’t know where Im going with it. Overall I will continue to create in whatever form I believe works better with my subject.
